For our first family vacation we rented a condo in Steamboat and went to the Hot Air Balloon Festival. We had a fantastic weekend - 6 a.m. balloon launch, gondola ride up the mountain, hiking and cracking geodes.

It took all day to work up the courage to meet Smokey the Bear.

Rained out the second day, only a few balloon lifted off.
Gwen fell asleep in the carrier so she missed out, but Bree got her face painted for the first time and enjoyed exploring the creek.
